Trail & Trust – About Us
Our Story: The Aha! Moment
Sometimes, the most unexpected moments change the course of everything. One summer, a friend’s son — a bright 12-year-old struggling in school and labeled as a “bad kid” — came to spend time at my barn. What started as a chore quickly became transformation. As he learned to care for the horses, a bond formed. His grades improved, his teachers noticed a new confidence, and he said the horses made him feel… “different.” It was then I realized the profound power of the horse-human connection — not just for me, but for others as well.
Why Trail & Trust?
Horses are teachers of trust. It takes patience, care, and mutual respect to build a true bond. That idea became the heart of our brand. Just as horses give back what you give them, we wanted Trail & Trust products to earn your trust in return. Every candle, bath bomb, and carefully curated item is made with safety, quality, and integrity in mind — so you can feel confident bringing our products into your home and family life.
And the “Trail” isn’t just in our name — it’s a journey. A journey toward creating Restoring Hope Ranch, where at-risk youth can find the same restoration, connection, and confidence that inspired our brand.
The Candle & Beyond
We started with home fragrances simply because we love the process of creating them — testing scents that transform a home into a place of relaxation, energy, or warmth. Candles are our way of helping you decompress after the day, much like I retreat to the barn for my own “pony therapy.”
But Trail & Trust is only the beginning. Our vision spans multiple lines of eco-friendly products:
The Passage Line: Personal care items like shampoo bars, bath bombs, and lotions.
The Clear Line: All-natural home cleaning essentials.
The Tack Line: Pet-centered products including treats and natural care items.
Our Vision
Five years from now, our goal is simple: to create a sense of belonging, comfort, and restoration in everyone who interacts with Trail & Trust. We want every customer to feel the same relief, warmth, and joy I feel when stepping into the barn — the calm, melodic welcome of the horses, the scents of the ranch, and the reminder that connection and trust can transform lives.
